9-12 mornings, includes riding, hands on stable and classroom. This is a unique hands on experience for children and adults.(children under 7 must have an active adult in attendance)
Riding - one hour will be allotted to riding under the direction of an experienced adult instructor.Less formal, our camp riding exposes students to a variety of activities which may include English, Western, side-saddle,games, etc. depending on the groups interest and ability
STABLE - Students will lean basic chores such as mucking out, grooming, tacking and un-tacking,and bridling. They will also lean about feeding and stable management. Students will be in stalls working with horses.
Classroom-Meeting in the schools a/cond classroom students topics that may include breeds, colors, ailments, conformation,riding theory, nutrition, etc. Students will be allowed to discuss topics of interest to them. We have many visual aids available. Students also enjoy crafts and games.
Cost: $150 per child, per week
Boot rental for week,$7.50
Helmet rent for week,$7.50
Items needed: Hard soled shoes or boot with about a 1" heel,(rentable); Approved helmet, (rentable); riding attire, (jeans acceptable at camp); weather appropriate clothes, sweat shirt, jacket, etc. Dress to be outside. PLEASE CHECK WITH US BEFORE PURCHASING ANY ITEMS, WE MAY HAVE THEM FOR LESS AT OUR TACK SHOP.
