PEGASUS RIDING SCHOOL
2012 CAMPS
Feb. - 20 - 24, Presidents Break Camp
Jun. - 11 - 15, Summer Camp, week 1
Jun. - 18 - 22, Summer Camp, week 2
Dec. 26, 27, 28, 29, 31 Holiday Camp
Includes riding, stable and classroom.
This is a unique hands on experience for children age 7
and up. Adults also welcome.
RIDING - Riding will be done under the direction of an
experienced adult instructor. Our camp riding is less
formal and exposes campers to a variety of activities
which may include English, Western, side-saddle,
playing games, etc., depending on the group's interest
and riding ability.
STABLE - Campers will learn basic horse care such as
mucking out, grooming, tacking and un-tacking and
bridling. They will also learn about feeding and stable
management. Students will be working with horses in
their stalls.
CLASSROOM - Students meet in the school's
heated / air conditioned classroom to learn about breeds,
colors, ailments, conformation,riding theory, nutrition,
bits, hoof care, etc. Students will also be allowed to
discuss topics of interest to them personally. We have
many visual aids available. Campers can enjoy crafts and
games.
REQUIRED ITEMS - Will be discussed in detail upon
sign-up. In general boots with a heel and an approved
helmet are required. These items can be rented. Campers
need weather appropriate clothes. Dress to be outside.
